Hey all! New to NWN here and really enjoyed my first hour or two on this server. The only real question I have is "how do I make my own emotes?"
If I just surround my text with "*" will it come out as an emote?
*gazes questioningly*

The most common way to emote is with **, yes. You will occasionally see people use other methods [] and -- but most use the **.

*smiles with a nod* I hope that helps.

Awesome thank you. My only other question for now is How do inns work? Do I just pay for the room and press rest once I enter it? Also does it provide any benefit or is it more of a flavour thing?

Spot on, yeah.

The various inns might have backstories linked to them you can find out about in game!

The only ways to rest are using inns, or making a campfire and using a bedroll. In default nwn you can rest anywhere.
