Netheril, also known as the 'Netherese Empire', is a magocratic human empire located in the north of Faerûn. Renowned for their mastery of the arcane, the Netherese have invented a variety of unique masterpieces the most impressive of all their floating enclaves. Each floating enclave is ruled by the lord who masterminded its construction and from this perch administers to their plans. Most of the Netherese lords use their enclaves to carve out a 'domain' over while they rule and occasionally squabble with neighbouring lords. Each lord has a position at the High Council, which provided some amount of cohesion and unity to the separate demenses. | |
