Research: Old / Abandoned Dwarven Settlement - Orcan Hills
« on: October 22, 2018, 01:13:38 pm »
Knowing of the vague issue regarding the old settlement being rumored to be plagued by ghosts - and considering the Dwarven skeletons at the collapsed entrances.  Schnelthect goes about researching the orcan hills and the surrounding histories of the area.

If he is referred to the unfinished works other have been guided to he would then inquire if there are any filed reports with the library as to whether or not any adventurers have mounted an expedition. Also he would request names of all those that have in the past researched the topic.

The early record held in the fishing village of Hadrian many years ago even before the Enclave of Valstiir turned up, speak of a Dwarven Settlement that kept to themselves and traded little with the humans on the surface.

All that is known is the any and all trade stopped with the Dwarves and the Orc hordes took over the mines. The Orcs continue to this day to be a threat to Southbank and Hadrian with their access to the resources of the mines. Recent attacks on the Elven town of Nualla'n and Southbank have given thoughts that they had been searching for something or testing defenses but no one really knows the goal of the Orcs.

Reports on the attack on Nualla'n suggest they had been looking for something and the reports on the resent Southbank attacks state they have obtained a growth artifact due to the size of the Orcs seen on the old battlefield. What this has to do with the old dwarven settlement is unknown but these are some of the points in time that affected the old dwarven mines.

Build it and they will come.

Taking this information into consideration Schnelthect then travels to Nualla'n and searches for a library or public official that he might inquire as to what information the long-living Elves might have recorded regarding the Dwarven settlement to their north.
