Research:Purifying magic objects tainted by Infernal Energies
« on: December 14, 2019, 01:31:23 pm »
Belorfin decides to rummage through the contents of the library in search of an answer to how the process of magical items corrupted by Fiendish essences could be reversed. leaving the object free of any adverse effects without damaging the positive enchantments, as well as if there is a period where it becomes irreversible and how to identify how long it has been like such.

This is a very complex topic and one that must be approached in many different ways. No 2 ways seem to be the same when it comes to removing the taint of evil magic it seems. Some are done through solemn rituals and with powerful magics aimed to draw out the evil while others have been done by using the cursed or tainted weapon for good and just causes or through heroic sacrifices and still, others have been cleansed with things as simple as Remove Curse magic. Magic, like a living thing, has it's own unique qualities and vibrations and so, there is on 'one sure-fire way' to remove negative effects from something.

Belorfin shakes his head at his findings, them being exactly what he had expected as infernal taint is no easy thing to remove.  he narrows down his search to the first half of the research results. (1) a lead on knowledge of rituals and arcana that may have successfully drawn out this type of evil in the past as well as materials or at least a shared category of materials commonly used in them, (2) what kind of group or church specializes in cleansing devilish taint on items enchanted with the weave, (3) rumors of a method of Corruption Transference as a last resort.
