Journals & Backgrounds / Diary of Keelie Nafar
« on: February 03, 2019, 05:37:33 pm »
Dearest Diary,

I found the strangest conversation outside the coin the other day.  Out of the blue, the topic of "the one' was brought up.  How strange I thought.  This business of death had not been taken care of yet and his daughter was still a "Guest" at the keep.  I feel her part is all a sham to get what she wants.  After that conversation, I found myself at the library looking for past occurrences dealing with the subject.  The librarian assistant was so helpful.  As she brought the information to me, memories flooded my mind.  Quite overwhelming. I soon realized the histories lost outside theses walls. The towns people had fallen to ignorance, not on their own part. I would have to take the dive and share the important information that these people so need to move forward.

Netherese Library / Research: Origins of "The One".

Keelie walks the familiar trail to the Valstiir Library.  Upon entering, she takes a deep breath and mindlessly walks to the door of Aquaria's office to try the door.  She continues her way to find the book that sparked a memory of the daughter of "the One".   It was from that tale and need to heal the tree she so loved, "The Tree of the Moon" the she encountered the daughter.  She reread the book of The Druid Stone Song.  Flashes of the poor Dryad that had been trapped there come to mind.  Pushing past that thought...she continues to look at other books and came across another of interest...though this one was in regard to Cashand Joriin.  A topic of Constructmanacer ablilities would be discussed with him in the near future. Keelie knew, after all that she had read she would need to find other books within other libraries.

I was called to Nutalla'n by the Grand Priestess Gwynnestri Faeroris the other day. I was quite surprised that she even remembered I had spoke to her just previously.  I did take a few friends with me, do to my uneasiness with the elven folk.  She was very nice.  She seemed troubled at first, I thought probably because I had people with me, but now I know this was not the case.  She finally decided I needed to know more of my past.  Who I am as far as the Elves know of. I turns out I have two sets of parents. How do you like that?  It seems Amaunator and Sehanine decided they wanted to create a child of their own to help heal and unite people.  So they chose two mortals, a human man and an elven woman to make the child unwillingly to them, to place their blessing upon the world.  Though I feel uncomfortable with the idea that two people didn't have a say in their use to create me, I am not unhappy with my existence. It helps to explain why I was given to the Temple to be raised, and why I have come to know special abilities that have started to show.   I don't feel as much of a freak that should hide now.  But rather, someone who could unite and heal all of Hadrian.  Besides my healing tears and touch, my ability to give a warm comforting glow that gives peace.  Yet some of it frightens me.  I can give pulses of light when angered from injustice to myself or those I care for.  I suppose I need to accept it all and know that both of my godly parents are within me, fighting for unity, justice, acceptance and peace. This gives me some comfort that I have good to do in this world. Blessed be the light that guides and protects you.

Journals & Backgrounds / The Beginnings of Keelie Nafar Before Hadrian

Beginnings Unknown to Keelie:

After an eternity of time, the Sun had reached the edge of the world and saw the goodness the Moon brought forth. Both having felt losses and emptiness, they stayed there lingering in revel of each other.  Both bringing light of good, hope and love they created a child.  This child could not be held by both, for Sehanine ruled during the night and Amaunator ruled at day.  This child was entrusted to the hands of the world, both man an elf so she would feel the light of both parents.  The child would be taught in the ways of love and lawfulness.  She would be a great healer of world kind.  Amaunator and Sehanine used the mortal bodies of a human man and an elven woman to make the child, blessing it with special abilities. The Elven Order had entrusted a monk Elf by the name of Theren Sontr’e  to guard over her. The Order of the Shadow tasked a Shadow Dancer by the name of Brennus Nafar whom had been the mortal father to watch over her also.  She was hidden away from the evils of the world to grow in light.  She was given a worldly name of Keelie and took the Surname Nafar from her mortal father, the Shadow Dancer.
Keelie was placed by both orders to live and be raised by the sisters of the Temple Amaunator.  By doing so, she would be “Raised by the Light”.  Keelie was not to be told of her original beginnings.  She was given a pseudo history that was to an extent real to evade such issues. PSEUDO STORY:  She was told that her mother was Elven and had been with a Human man. Her mother was ordered to be rid of the child for it would not be accepted within her family. Her mother placed her in the Amaunator Temple because she felt the Humans would care for her with more acceptance of being a Half Elf. This allowed Brennus to take the true roll of her father, giving reason for his visits.
What Keelie Does Know:
Brennus Nafar, Shadow Dancer of the Order of the Shadow had a family of his own.  Brennus had told his only natural blood child, Kadmus of a “Half sister” when Kadmus turned age of 12.  Kadmus would never be able to meet her until he left home.  Brennus had gone missing while working on Order business, which prompted Kadmus to take action to find him.  His curiosity of his half-sister and the need to find his father drove him to find the Temple.  While learning of its location and history, Kadmus was delivered unsavory news of masked corrupt dealings that were happening within the church. Such dealings that in the near future was going to involve Keelie.  Theren, guard elf monk of Keelie had been learning of the corrupt ways of the men within the temple and helped plot with Kadmus after learning he was Brennus’s son.  With the helping hands of Kadmus and Theren, they kidnapped Keelie from the Temple to save her from a terrible future.
