Netherese Library / Research: Artifacts of Selune

Sarah smiles warmly to the librarians and scours through all the books in the library searching for even the small hint of Selune's name, even in obscure references, and begins searching for any artifacts that provide healing. She focuses a bit more on the legend of the piece that fell during her fight with Shar. She seems determined to spend all night in the sake of her quest.

Minerva enters the library once more, this time after information regarding ballista designs:

• Specifically designs for wall-mounted ballista for forts and castles
• Known craftsmen capable of wall-mounted ballista
• Materials needed per mounted ballista

She also spends a significant time in the search of lore regarding materials and golem design, even staying up throughout the night to burn candlelight if it seems her search is difficult:

• Origin of shadow iron and possible ties with the Plane of Shadows
• Any information regarding expeditions into the Plane of Shadows and unique metals
• The process of creating golems or at least notes that can be deciphered and the process formulated
• Any mention of creating golems that bind other entities - such as shadows instead of elemental spirits

Minerva enters the library after some personal investigation and searches the shelves for a very specific set of criteria:

• An Artifact, specifically from Selune during her fight with Shar, when a part of her fell to Toril
• It's known locations or possible rumors, written by anyone from experts to amateurs.
• The theorized effects of said artifact
• Theories on acquiring and/or finding said artifacts (if any)

Furthermore, she sets up more research:

• If celestials can be destroyed - knowing most fight end in banishment to the celestial realms
• The methods to permanently destroy a celestial, if possible
• The consequences of destroying a celestial

Teuivae grew up in Hardrian Southbank to a human father and an elf mother who fell in love. Unfortunately for the child, her parents were two peas in a pound and cared little for the half-blood child, leaving her to a lonely and rejected life. Not many people had much respect for Teuivae as she grew up, despite her hard working attitude in the warehouses. It was a life full of either sitting alone or too many times - being manipulated and taken advantage of, such as being lying to, brain washed, even raped. There's little point in telling a story about all the darkness that Teuivae went through, but there is purpose is focusing on her absolute resolve. Even through all the cruelty of others, she found hope in story books and fairy tales about heroic knights and brave adventurers.

So in her younger teenage years, Teuivae was unique among the downtrodden. She has her walls and her bite for those trying to get close to her, but what made a difference was the determination that stayed strong in her heart. Now back then, she would say that Selune saved her from her own darkness. Working the warehouses, she found a Selunite healing the injuries of those around her - an elf of what Teuivae considered to be of unearthly beauty. Before long, any injury at all that Teuivae had, she would instantly take herself to Leslia. Leslia saw in Teuivae her heart and slowly they started a romance as the elf taught Teuivae of Selune and her ways - about compassion, love, acceptance, and understanding. This is when life turned around for her, though the two found themselves to not be capable, they stayed close friends until Leslia had to travel elsewhere. The mark the Selunite elf had on Teuivae though would be long-lasting.

Eventually (and sadly) her parents passed away in accidents concerning the laborers of Southbank, leaving Teuivae to her own devices. With no home or shelter to be had, she went to the only familiar place she knew - the Harvest Moon Chapter House where she met an Aasimar by the name of Neasa. That is when her story truly started.

I saw Neasa once writing in a journal, though I dare not disrespect her by ever reading it, but it gave me the idea to perhaps write my own. Of course, I cannot promise that I will write in this all the time - after all, it took her writing to even give me the idea, but I might as well recount the recent happenings.

First and foremost, or perhaps most obviously, has been my welcoming into the Order of the Guiding Hand as a squire. Neasa, a knight-errant herself, was the one who insisted I join the Order. I did not expect as much, but for the first time I feel like I have a family in the Order. My own parents neglected me and I've been subject to abuse more times than I care to recount... so it feels odd, in the best of ways, to find acceptance and encouragement. Though truly, it's Neasa that thinks of me the most.

That aside, I've come to discover that Selune favors me on some measure of a scale - I can channel her holy light through me just as much as Neasa can, whom is a paladin of Amaunator! I thought it odd that I could do such things - I've never been a part of any training or oath-taking and yet Selune has seen fit to bless me. Each and every day, I feel closer to her - her light, her forgiveness, her fierce protectiveness, her acceptance. I like to believe that through my life, my thoughts of her have guided me... and she must of heard me, along the way.

The future looks bright indeed. With Selune above and the Order to my side... nothing can ever tear me down again. I hope I honor everyone's expectations. Shi even forged a blade - Elladyr I've called her.. 'Starstrike'. That's all I want in life is to spread Selune's light and goodness so that people can live in peace and be spared the horrors I endured.
