Reposted here for those who can't see the Beta Feedback forums.

I don't feel like the DM team has an accurate picture of how much pcs spend on supplies so I want to try to remedy that. Below state how much you spend during quests and events on average or even just hunting, also post your class and level. I'm asking for there to be no debates here, this is purely for informational purposes.

That's the question, now's the time to answer. Me? I say yes. Because it sucks for people, especially casual players who may not get in any DM quests, to at some point die, and lose levels, and have no recourse. Of course, this would have to imply that those who made it to get XP past level 15 or 16 to have been in DM events because that is currently the only way to get XP at those levels. People don't stop learning, and don't stop developing when DM's aren't around, and I believe the fairying being extended again to 15, and higher levels is a good thing, and a fair thing to allow people to not lose progress that could take a very long time to once again get to, and they shouldn't forget the skills they've learned because of it. Take note, I'm not against XP penalties, or that someone may lose a level when dying. What I think there should be though, is a method to get XP past level 15 that does not strictly belong to DM events.

"They both called me half breed. This one called me son... I am no son of a demon. My blood may be tainted but it is NOT THAT ]POLLUTED!... ...It doesn't matter anyway... I know what I am going to do. I will be the beginning, and I will make it end. I will make it /ALL/ end. And then... We can begin anew."

Netherese Library / Pheroths Other Research((ATTN: Tinker.))

Moving into the library of Valstiir, Pheroth begins to look for any information on opening portals to other planes, that are two way, and what is required. He knows of Sigil and the fact there are portals to different planes and primes there, so he searches for information on there, anything that might him to enable to create a stable portal or manipulate a portal to go to another plane.

Do you believe it is? If you don't think so at early levels, keep in mind when you hit 10, and above, you can easily lose a week or more worth of XP, and in some cases, from one death, can lose over a /months/ worth of XP. Not everyone has the time and inclination to grind out the XP they lose, and when you get into the teens, if they die and lose XP, grinding becomes something even harder as there are only a few quests to give XP.

Additionally, I do not believe the current system encourages RP in the least, it, in my opinion, causes there to be less with people just grouping up to grind XP which may be IC or OOC. There are alternatives. Some people have suggested Arelith's system. Another system I saw that worked well was a system that prevented you from getting hunting XP for a number of hours equal to your level, but you could still get DM XP, and Fairy XP.

Also, I firmly believe raises and ressurects from players should not give an XP penalty, or from the priest who charges 6k gold to raise someone. 6k is a fuckton of gold enough, let alone the person on the recieving end losing XP.

Groups & Concepts / The Alliance of Shadows

Pheroth is looking to start up a group that deals in information, theivery, and possibly assassinations. Think of it as a large spy network where people trade information, and then a portion of the proceeds for the information goes to the PC giving it. It's meant for the discrete, and will support multiple faiths. He's not made this known ICly, but I'm looking to see if there's interest out there.

Moving into the Library of Valistarr, Pheroth would begin to look for any information on the Channel Mountains or Myconid Forest and specifically if there were any Temples to Amauntor that may have been lost, or contact ceased from. If none would be found he would head to the small church in Hadrian on the matter. He would also look for any information about the regions in particular as well as any mage towers reputed to be in the area.
