Walrus has a reallly nice thing going on, i'd definitely get into that.

I'd be down for even heftier xp cost on death, if it was temporary and last even up to a day. maybe prevent the character from gaining non dm xp during it too.

That was an awful sentence.
I'd be down for characters to temporarily lose levels for a long duration, preventing xp gains, except for dm xp. Maybe increase the duration of your death penalty the higher the level of the player is.

Later on when event xp is the only thing you get and you're not actively playing, you'll easily lose a month or more of progress even when resurrected, especially if you don't grind.

I used it as a joke a few times in chat, as it's so uncharacteristic for the character i play that it's silly, but then again my username isn't my character name so that's not a very good joke really. Pariah Escaud, glad to meet ye.

I'd give important dm loot or plot items unstealable, and leave as is. Buff the amount of gold you can get by stealing too.
So far if i've seen someone be caught pickpocketing, it's pretty much a death sentence if someone doesn't intervene. So it better be worth it.

Silats!
Basically ogre-magi females, with the power to polymorph other monsters.
Risky, but a disguised monster could visit a shop in town and Silats would be an excuse for magical disguisement.
But only if someones willing to play a 4m tall hag.

You can multiclass as much as you want. Only prestige classes need DM approval, and certain combinations of classes involving monk.
But that said combining caster levels with non caster levels is generally a bad idea, but in this case rogue being one of those few classes you might want to have a level of! But don't take it early. Save some skill points to dump into the rogue skills you want later, and it should be very useful. Or start with a rogue level to gain the most skill points of all the classes, and then take a second rogue level at higher level. But generally, the more caster levels you have, the more use you get out of them. And most importantly do what you want and like!

The only ways to rest are using inns, or making a campfire and using a bedroll. In default nwn you can rest anywhere.

Yes, pickpocketing is a thing. However i think at the moment you can get anything off another player's inventory, so if you steal something that is clearly a DM loot item or something of high importance, i'd recommend trying to rp selling it back to the player or somehow make it able for them to get it back. Should create interesting moments, instead of pure emotional salt.

Journals & Backgrounds / Escaud Family
« on: April 03, 2018, 03:57:35 pm »
Spoiler
Morr Escaud

Escaud family was part of a poor community of farmers. She had a mother, father and a younger sister; pariah. Her father never spoke where the Escaud family name comes from, as it was a rather unusual last name for a commoner. Her father was the sole provider for the family and owned the farm, but was gravely in debt to keep the communitys needs checked. Or atleast that's what he told he was in debt for. He was a hard working man, which may have cost him his life as he died quite young for a farmer. After his death, the family couldn't pay off the debt, and the farm was taken from them. Morr was furious for the other folk in her town for not doing anything to save their farm, thinking her father paid for their different needs. The family gathered what little they had and moved to the city for a while, but there was not work to be had there for their mother and they shortly ended up on the street. Their mother couldn't last too many years on the streets  and fell sick. Luckily a passing by priestess of Selune heard her sisters cries on the street and took pity on the poor and welcomed the family in their abbey. Except for Morr. She didn't want to get help from anyone, and in a fit of anger ran away. The family couldn't find the her anywhere and the stressed mother's condition got worse every passing moment, forcing them to leave town. Pariah and Morr never met after this.

Pariah Escaud

Pariah was younger than her sister, and at the time didn't fully realize the significance of her missing sister. But in only a few days after Morr's runaway, she really would have appreciated a playmate, beside her sick mother. There weren't other children in the abbey to play with, but all the people there were very polite and nice. It was quickly apparent the knights could raise this girl into a devout and beloved follower to Selūne. After spending her entire teenage pondering what her childhood could have been like with a sister, she vowed to let no one be left alone, and help all those she is able. Her sincere devotion to her beliefs make her for an utmost symbol to the Silver Lady.
