Loriana enters Valstiir's Library and presents the Master Librarian a sample of a rock that she has been calling "Shadow Gem". The stone is pitch black regardless of its surroundings, it being almost as if it absorbed light itself. She explains that she is aware that it has been used in rituals related to shadow and the darkness energies and that these gems were mostly found around the Orc Hills in possession of the orcs that live there. Her assumption is that the orcs have been gathering such rocks from those that came to fight them and they actually do not belong to the monstrous denizens of those hills.
She questions the librarian then on information regarding the most probable source of such gems, their users, and documentation on rituals related to them.

The librarian politely informs you that there is no information on such an item that they have ever heard of.
