Will there be more noble houses? Or are these the only two?

There's one more to come.

yeah, three Leads factions but we would hope that depending on the players we would have other Noble Houses, buying for the right to provide resources to the Enclave ( Citadel ).

Also, players taking lead roles like Mayor and such.

Will we see areas and towns officially held by noble houses that we can gain power in if we gain enough influence with said noble house

We have already put in ready to go some trading ports/settlements and other titles as a path for players. Of course, there is the opportunity to build your own but you would be starting with nothing so everything would need to be EiG. Getting Allies and Alliances would be a good start for an influence to follow.

The three current Nobles houses are there, one to serve the needs of the Enclave ( Citadel ) and second to further their own interests and power ( a very basic outline ). This is not to say these are the only Nobles houses in the area but the ones we are starting with and the one that would have the most influence in the area, other than the Arch-Mage Valstiir.

More Lore on these House and Titles will be made available when the server is open for business :)

Hope that helps

What does it take to be awarded nobility?

That would be up to you. If you need a noble title to tell your story, we can have a chat about what your plans are but you would be starting with little more than a title and a crest. Becoming the Mayor of Hadrian would be a good path to gain allies and support for your house. Just as an example.

Other options/paths will become available over the coming weeks.

I hope that answers your question.

So the noble houses do they have estates in valstiir or just Hadrian?

They hold estates in both Hadrian and Valstiir, the house in Hadrian is small and there to control any interests the Noble Houses may need to supply the Enclave.

Hadrian once a small fishing village has grown rapidly of late after the arrival of the Valstiir Enclave, some say to fast and is affecting the local area too much.

The Archmage Valstiir has entrusted the three Noble Houses to serve/supply the Citadel and in return given land/power to use towards there own goals. Lady Valstiir cannot do everything, so relies on the houses to do their jobs but is ever vigilant.

There is no reason for another Noble House could not find a way into the Archmages fold, but you would be careful not to tread on too many toes. It might be a niche area that the others houses are not involved in heavily.

A quick/basic rundown of the current Nobles areas of influence is...

House Dukarrus - Militaristic
House Reschotti - Trade
House Skettus - Investment/Artifacts

Hope that helps

Yep and maybe you could influence them with task done or your reputation.

Do you require to apply for the faction, or do we just grab a DM and sign up?

No need for applications to join factions at starting levels. Just grab a DM or a current player IG if available to set you up.

How open are the team to big changes like the heads of the families getting assassinated and say a PC taking one over etc?

Assume if the story is awesome then anything can be done?

Yes, we have a base of NPCs to use with each faction.

Referring to the noble houses, each has a small estate/base in Hadrian as this is the location supplies and materials are shipped/moved to the Enclave ( Citadel ). This is why the town is so important to the Valstiir and the continuing growth of each house. The Archmage Valstiir has given each house an area of influence over her Enclave and each houses battles to keep control of its assets, on the ground and in the sky.

So to finish here, yes I am sure some NPC will go by the wayside, go missing or just have an accident by falling off the Enclave ... lost in the forest below :)

Also we will have many positions to obtain along the way, from Mayor of Hadrian to a New Sulivan and other key positions in between.

I hope that helps
