Do I just carry a spell?  Make another character and have him do it with spell or temple priest?  Or, do i need a different player altogether do it for me?

You are unable to raise yourself, assuming you mean the actual raise or resurrect spells.

Using another of your characters to try and raise your fallen first character will not work.

That needs to be done by another PC or another PC taking you to an NPC.

You can respawn, though that has higher penalties.

I was alone on a boat ride and got this spawn.

Three mephits. I know one was salt and one was water. Can't remember the other.

The NPC archer wounded two of them and I had no trouble with them. Not sure if it's a different type of spawn or not from the OP.

My PC is certainly not a fighter.

The fence seems to pay really low, even with a favorable appraise.

Also, the woodman's axe which is marked stolen can't be sold there. It was a 0gp item and I had to just finally toss them.

Personally, I suggest getting Steam and using the Steam keys provided by Beamdog to get the game that way simply because you can then subscribe to the workshop and it does all the file stuff for you.

I'm a total hak/file tard and I found doing it that way to be a billion times easier.

Netheril: Mess around with the player tool. A cool feature I've found allows you to knock on closed doors. No more barging into unlocked inn rooms to find someone(s) already occupying it! Use the tool on the door.

Feedback and Bugs / Metal/Mirror Neck

Moving this to here.

It has returned on an outfit I previously repaired.

One or two gold to keep it fixed isn't too bad but having to do it all the time and having to do it on enchanted clothing for higher costs... That gets old fast.

Neck did return though... now showing as mirrored/metal in the nude form again.

Not using any hak heads. Just a standard NWN head.

This has happened to myself and another player at random.

I don't know what causes it or how to get rid of it. One of my characters outfits changed the necklace it had for that metal neck. I took it and changed it back and that fixed the outfit but when nude my character continued to have the metal neck.

There's been a reset and I haven't check to see if it persisted.

So, while not an answer, you are not alone.

Update: Reset did not fix the metal neck on the nude model and one of my other outfits now has the metal neck and lost the necklace.

Update #2: After buying a new outfit and using the model to change its appearance to match one I already had, my character now has no neck in the nude form and I had to change the neck of the outfit from non-existent back to the necklace.

NWN: Don't use quotes in your character name. Other players can't message you from the player list if you have quotes.

Netheril: Don't lie down in the fugue! It will cause you not to get raised by the NPC but still lose the xp.
