The Ludus
Lucius was taken from his home at a very young age, the barbarian life was of a simple one. He really doesn't know of his birthdate, things like that were not important to the tribe. He does remember the day he was taken, his father falling to spears and his mother raped and then burned. He had no other brothers or sisters, he was taken to place that would forever change him. A Ludus, a home and school of training to become a gladiator. His master’s home was full of men from near and far lands fighting under one Brotherhood. They had to learn how to embrace pain, suffering fighting for a chance to receive the mark of the Brotherhood. A test of combat was preformed and if they stood at a draw or for the great of them victor they would receive the mark. The mark a branding set on the forearm reflecting which house they belonged to. The mark of a slave.
